I'm Stephen H., the breeder behind Genesis American Bulldogs located in Pace, FL. We are breeding for genetics and preservation of our family tradition, not puppies. That means high-quality food sources, focused attention, and limited litters.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We had bulldogs my entire childhood, and I had pits in my early twenties but decided to switch back to ABs in my thirties. My mother also had an AB around that time, and decided she wanted to breed him in 2020. Since my AB was spayed, we purchased an old souther white female; with the goal of breeding old southern white american bulldogs like my grandfather, a florida cracker, used as catch dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are heritage breeders. We are concerned with genetics and preserving the top picks to breed towards our targeted standard. We dont breed without the intention of retaining a dog to further the bloodline. Therefore, most females in our program will not have more than two litters.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include white and tan, white and black, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Stephen

Stephen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Stephen partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Around 10-15 photos and 2-5 videos are uploaded to a fileshare service, along with a weight chart with projected adult weight and a summary of the personality. Recommendations are provided upon request.”

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and $1,050 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes NKC registration, a rounds of shots, vet certificate, and delivery to within 2 hours. Prior to 4 weeks of age, $200 refundable deposits are collected to reserve a pick of the litter. After 4 weeks, $600 non-refundable deposits are collected to reserve the selected dog. Also people that reserved a pick pay a $400 non-refundable deposit to reserve the selected dog.”

Stephen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    It was very easy to work with Stephen. He stayed in touch, quickly answered any questions and worked hard to arrange transportation to get my boy to me. He was also very ethical, I was in line for 3rd pick of the males in this litter, but it turned out there were only 3 males. Stephen offered me the first pick in another litter if I wasn’t happy with the puppy, but he recommended I take the 3rd pick because he was a very good dog. I’m so glad I took his recommendation! My pup is great! Healthy, happy, sweet and calm and with a fabulous stable and fearless temperament. My vet is very impressed with him as far as health and really raves about his temperament—friendly, feisty but easy to handle, strong and well built—-and she couldn’t believe how well he was listening and obeying at only 8 weeks old.
