I'm Brystin H., the breeder behind Geronimo Creek Border Collies located in Seguin, TX. We offer top quality family pets as well as working dogs! We are a passionate and dedicated breeding program that produce dogs with great temperaments and working drives. Our puppies will be amazing family pets as well as the drive for dock diving, agility and of course the job they were bred to do!
Q. & A. with Brystin
Why did you start breeding?
My father bred Jack Russel terriers growing up for hunting, confirmation and GTG competition through the JRTCA and my uncles breed border collies in Arkansas so I continued what my family started many years ago.
What makes your program special?
I focus on the health and well being of the puppies as well as work on their socializing and obedience up until the day they go to their new home. The puppies will be cared for like they are my own and will have my family to give them the utmost amount of love from the time they come into this world.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include rough and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, red merle, red, sable, sable merle, and white and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Are there breeders who choose to do their own vaccines from the local tractor supply? Of course, however I am aware that not all vets will take those as initial vaccines and will make families start their shots over. Because of this I go ahead and take them to the vet to have the vet administer the shots so we know it is done correctly and get documentation from them as well.
All puppies did great! They got their first puppy shot, dewormer and had everything checked out and are good to go for their new families! Not much longer!

The littles had a nice sunny afternoon on Friday! The weather had been a bit too cold so the day it warmed we took advantage of it! Tomorrow they will be getting checked by the vet and their first round of shots.

The littles are getting major personalities now ❤️ they got to explore the outside a little bit and today is the start or introducing scents to them! In their enclosure there is alpaca fur inside their wiffle ball to see who likes it or who doesn't! Such cuties running around like puppies now!

Such a good momma! She has been so attentive to her babies. I take a ton of pictures so I have to share these king of the mountain boys climbing up momma to sleep I did move them after the picture to prevent them from moving and falling off. Helicopter owner over here! 😂 guess I couldn't wait a week to share pictures. Who doesn't love puppy pics!

About Paisley
Paisley is a sweet girl who has traveled all over with me. The ball is her favorite past time and if she is not working she can spend hours fetching if you let her. She is so motivated to work but she has the best off switch when it's down time.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Geronimo Creek Border Collies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Border Collies.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Contacting and communicating was easy and straightforward, got complete information about the puppy. Got some toys she still uses currently. She is in great health and is very energetic (normal for a puppy) she got along great and it was simple to finish the paper work.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
