Meet the breeder

I'm Lorraine W., the breeder behind Gleannfae Gordon Setters & Cavalier King Charles Spaniels located in Winchester, KY. Gleannfae grew from our love for dogs as both cherished family companions & AKC performance partners. Our mission is to raise healthy, resilient dogs who can thrive in their role, and create thoughtful pairings that set every dog & family up for success.

Q. & A. with Lorraine

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our founding Cavaliers are our maiden venture into combining traits we desire and admire in each, while breeding out health issues. I care about the movement of our dogs, which speaks to their structural soundness, and wanted to carry that forward to the next generation.
  • What makes your program special?

Our foundation Cavaliers hail from the Ukraine and Russia (before everything started), and introduce new bloodlines here in the US. Both are AKC registered, DNA + Health tested, and all puppies have the same before joining their forever families. Our goal is to provide dogs who shine whether in a performance or pet home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lorraine

Lorraine has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Lorraine partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“Our desire is for each puppy and person to be delighted with each other, and so we do our best to match your preferences with who we have available. Puppies will be evaluated by a third party for performance potential and temperament. Show homes will have first picks in order received. While we strive for the best match possible, we cannot guarantee how the dog will develop once it leaves our care. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC registration, deworming, current vaccinations, microchip, AKC DNA + Health, 3 generation pedigree, & puppy package. Transport fees are separate. Reasonable travel can be included. The deposit reserves your place in puppy selection, with priority going to show homes first.”

Lorraine was amazing to work with! She was very helpful through the whole process. As a first time dog owner it was a lot of change at one time and she helped me ensure I was as prepared as I could be. Along with being willing to answer questions as they come up while owning my pup!
