I'm ALEXANDRA G., the breeder behind Goddens Cavaliers located in Signal Mountain, TN. All our dogs are AKC certified, DNA tested through Embark, and breeding dogs are OFA CHIC certified (heart, eyes, patella, hips, elbows), DECC, and EFS. We are small show breeders. Our dogs live with us in our home. We live on large acreage in the woods. Our puppies get socialized with other dogs, cats, kids, and adults.
Q. & A. with ALEXANDRA
Why did you start breeding?
We got our first Cavalier years ago and we saw the joy she brought to us and how great she was with little children. Seeing the empathy, love, and care she gave, we wanted others to experience this breed.
Our mission is to improve the health of the breed to help reduce the predisposed health conditions in Cavaliers.
What makes your program special?
We focus on conformation, health, and temperament. We show, DNA test all our dogs, and do yearly OFA certifications for the heart with a cardiologist. We keep in contact with the parents and grandparents of our breeding dogs to monitor their health as they age. We are always available to our customers for questions they may have and are always willing to take our puppies back if they can no longer provide for them.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
