I'm Jamie A., the breeder behind Gold Leaf Collies located in Mattoon, IL. We offer classic rough and wonderful smooth collies for family, show, and lifetime companions. I have been raising dogs for over 20 years now along with my mother's aid. We have worked hard to breed healthy and happy lifetime companions. All our sires and dams are DNA tested.
I am a small breeder so I bring studs in from outside lines to breed to the females I have raised for generations. Lots of pictures and videos are shared often with new owners. We would love to have you be part of our Goldleaf Family.
Q. & A. with Jamie
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with a collie by my side. At the age of 20, my mom decided to start Goldleaf Collies. I spent my early 20s traveling and even at a point showing her dogs. When she had a litter, I was always there to help whelp them. We spent hours talking about collies and all things DNA
What makes your program special?
I breed for the dog's health and beauty. Not only should collies be a stunning companion they should be a healthy one. They make the best family pets! My collies are raised right along with my kids.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle and white, sable merle, blue merle white and tan, black white and tan, sable, blue merle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
