Meet the breeder

I'm Heidi M., the breeder behind Granite Creek Kennel located in Farmington, MO. We are a small family breeder specializing in English Labradors. We strive to provide beautiful, healthy, and smart dogs to the families or individuals they deserve.

Q. & A. with Heidi

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had a grandparent figure who bred and showed AKC dogs and I was always really fascinated and enjoyed helping with their care. I have had and grew up with, all kinds of animals, but dogs are my loves. My husband had a labrador when we got together and once I got to know her, I knew that was the breed for me!
  • What makes your program special?

I strive to offer people the type of dog I, myself, would want to have. I like a certain look, I have a standard on what I will accept as far as health testing, background, etc. I want to provide these same things but at a price, most can afford. I feel like everyone deserves to have good looking, health tested dogs and I try to make that possible.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in a kennel on my property.
