Why did you start breeding?
Our involvement in dog breeding began simply enough, 38 years ago, we had a pair of otherworldly flock guardians. We are now retired and are placing our exquisite dogs in experienced homes due to illness in our human fam.What makes your program special?

We lost our 13 year old Collie 5 years ago and have recently embarked on our search for an adult Collie companion. Julia was wonderful to work with, very responsive and answered any questions I had with kindness. From start to finish, working with Julia was a pleasure. She is knowledgeable about the breed, and was able to answer each and every question I had throughout the process. The application was extensive, but don’t let that scare you away. (That’s one of the things you should look for when selecting a breeder, as it indicates you are purchasing from an ethical breeder who understands and cares about preserving the breed). Julia explained the purchasing process in a digestible manner, and was able to arrange transportation as I live out of state. Since bringing Cap home, Julia has been available to me 24/7 for any concern that arises. While Julia is wonderful, I’d be remissed if I didn’t mention my furry companion. Cap has been with me for 1.5 years now, and he is nothing short of wonderful. He is a beauty, but his temperament is his specialty. He is so gentle and calm, and has been from his first day. He interacts appropriately with children, dogs and even cats. Truly, he receives compliments each and every time we go out and about based not only on his looks, but also his temperament. This is not because I’m some fantastic trainer- I am not. I’m just a lady who likes dogs and knows a couple things about them. Cap’s temperament is exactly what you would expect from a well bred rough collie. He is simply a pleasure, and has been exactly what I didn’t know I needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Julia again, and hope to have another of her beautiful collie’s in my home one day.

When it was time for us to add another dog to the family, we found Julia at Foxglove Farms. What a good experience. With the help of Julia we picked Forrest, a bleu merle collie. Forrest's parents were Foxglove Farms Foxfire, and Bleu Camas. What a wonderful temperament, loving, kind, gentle, and very affectionate, and beautiful to boot. They were very helpful with the payment and transfer. Forrest joined our Corgi and Aussie with out a single conflict. It worked out so well we just got a second from the same litter.

Working with Julia has been a pleasure. She was so responsive and helpful. We had a ton of questions and she answered them right away. Foxglove Farms Sandpiper (Sandy) is a sweetheart. We have only had Sandy a short time but he has already bonded with our other two dogs. It’s so much fun to watch them romp and play around the yard. Our family has been profoundly Blessed by Julia at Foxglove Collies!!! We lost our beloved collie over a year ago and we have not had the courage to get a puppy. Julia has collies though of all ages and when we looked at her website, we instantly fell in love with Mini-Me!!! We resetved her within 3 hours of seeing her on Julia's page in GOOD DOG!!! Julia has taught us day after day via Good dog messages before & after Mini-Me arrived!! We are beyond words for how amazing Julia has been...ALWAYS supportive, and helpful!!
