Meet the breeder

I'm Cher G., the breeder behind Guinn Family Farms located in Grove, OK. We have carefully selected our lines from health tested & champion lines. Some of our lines have taken multiple generations to produce. We have consistently produced qualifying companions for therapy and even service.

Q. & A. with Cher

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, my mother raised Cocker Spaniels for a while. We lived in the country, she broke horses, etc. My love for outdoors and animals is natural. A friend of mine had been raising Goldendoodles, she decided to concentrate on her Aussies. I was given the opportunity to take over her Goldendoodle program. I immediately studied pedigrees, generations, and how to improve the breed standard.
  • What makes your program special?

I am passionate about what we do. My goal from the beginning was improvement, strive for quality. I’ve evolved & learned a lot in the decade we have been breeding Doodles & Poodles. Aside from champion lines, we use and develop our own lines with generations of genetic & OFA certifications. We use ENS, noise desensitization, puppy culture. Being a family program allows a lot of inner support.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Labradoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Aussiedoodle puppies are standard size. Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Labradoodle puppies include caramel cream, caramel red, red, apricot, chocolate, cafe, lavendar, black, and tri-color. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, and black. Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Guinn Family Farms reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Aussiedoodles.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Animal Genetics Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Cher was amazing to work with! She was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable about the breed, and stayed in touch with me throughout the process. You can really tell how much she cares about her dogs and making sure they go to good homes. I’ve had Blake for two months now and he truly is the best teddy bear a girl could ask for! He loves playtime but also has the sweetest, most easy-going temperament. He’s growing so fast and doing so well, and he brings so much joy every day. I’m beyond happy with my experience and so grateful for Blake!

From the moment that I decided to reach out to inquire about a pup from Cher, she met me with such kindness! Initially I wanted to adopt but couldn’t find MY perfect pup, so I came upon Good Dog. She answered all my questions that I had being a new dog mom. I’m so blessed to have had this experience with her because everything was smooth from the beginning through pickup. Cher made sure to check in after a few days of having my baby to ensure he was doing well! I’m so in love with my little guy Thunder, his temperament is so calm and sweet and all my friends have fallen in love with him too!

We had recently lost our dog to cancer and our hearts were broken as well as the heart of our lab mix. We decided to get a puppy. We've always adopted before but this time we wanted a puppy. We looked at a lot of breeders and chose Guinn Family Farms. We were very apprehensive about using a breeder, but Cher made me feel very comfortable and was responsive with all our concerns and questions. Trust me, we asked a lot of questions. The whole process was very easy. We received updates regarding health and temperament to include pictures and videos weekly. It was a wonderful process. The pick up process was convenient and easy. We brought our sweet Frankie home and she has already given us so much joy in the last couple of weeks. Our sad doggo has a new friend and I swear she herself has become a puppy again! She's already learned sit, down and working on stay. She's very smart, sweet and loving. A little bit ornery too, as a puppy can be.
