I'm Eva L., the breeder behind GyanGanj Lhasa Apso located in Fort Washington, MD. I am neither a newcomer to the breed. I share my life with Lhasa Apso's for the last 28 years. Nor am I a novice breeder. I am breeding Lhasa Apso's and only Lhasa Apso's of the highest quality since 2008.... In case you have your heart set on a high end, high class, very well breed, cared for and raised "The Right Way Pup" you may very well stop right here and take a good look at mine...They are as close to perfection as one can get...inside and out. On the other hand site, should you be looking for a Lhasa Apso turning into a Shi Tzu mine are not meant for you. My heart is set on the preservation of the original "Tibetan Type"a hearty and strong, highly intelligent , healthy and stunningly beautiful little shaggy karma dog. Our Lhasa's are noted for their superb character, great temperament and gentle demeanor by owners and professionals alike. Puppies are raised with the uppermost care and around the clock supervision to ensure proper development and socialization... Pups will be placed into approved homes only and with people and families who harbor a deep appreciation and understanding in regards to that very ancient, rare and noble breed.... Pups will not be released until at least 10 to 12 weeks of age. I only breed with world renown, old and proven, well established national/international and multinational Ch-Bloodlines...Kehlang-Kyi, Tabu's, Everglo, Orlane's, Hylan Sho Tru, Black Boots, Kai-La-Sha, Hamilton, Traschi-Deleg , French and German TL-lines ...and last but not least Zentarr. A holistic approach is applied regarding rearing , health and food...

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with the Lhasa Apso in the mid 1990. My first Lhasa Apso came in to my life while we where living in Hawai. She was a little black/tan female and came all the way from Australia straight into my life. Mona Lisa was my introduction to this marvelous and extraordinary breed and the rest is history.

  • What makes your program special?

    I wanted a small and exellent Lhasa Apso breeding program. To achieve what I desired I imported Lhasa Apsos from old, established, world renowned, healthy and sound lines from all over the world. Our Lhasa's are family. Pups are growing up in a clean, stable and safe enviroment. They are cared for with lots of love, expertise and raised to give them the best possible start in life 100% underfoot.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include parti, red gold, red, grizzle, golden, cream, black and tan, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Eva

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Included in the price are the warranty of health. Age appropriate vaccinations, medical examintion, written health report.,AKC Registration Papers and not to forget early socialization. All of our puppies are the same price when placed as pet/companion. Regardless of size, color and sex.”

Contract & health guarantee

Eva may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eva has over 18 years of experience and I saw her puppies and fell in love. She was very quick to respond to questions sending videos and updates. The payment and pick up went smoothly and she sent me tons of training information and registration papers as well as their health records.     We had an amazing experience with Eva and her husband, James. From my first inquiry, Eva was quick to respond and provided a wealth of information about Lhasa Apsos. After we put our deposit down to reserve our pup, we received weekly updates and videos. We were able to do an in home visit with our pup a few weeks before we took him home. It is very clear that Eva has a passion for this breed and loves each one of her pups. When we brought Chewy home we were impressed by his mild manners. He is not your typical puppy in that he does not nip or chew on all things he shouldn’t. We have 3 kids (ages 10,12,13) and Chewy is very gentle with them and plays nicely with all of them. We also have a 5 year dog in our house and chewy is taking to him nicely. We could not be happier with our experience with GyanGanj Lhasa Apso and are so in love with Chewy.

    I hands down recommend GyanGanj Lhasa Apso breeder. Eva and her husband are very knowledgeable of the breed and their Lhasa's lineage. The transaction went smoothly and we were able to come meet the pups and play with them to determine the right fit for our family. I went in for one particular Lhasa and met another one that I truly fell in love with, Luna. Luna is a joy to have in our family and has a great personality that is playful and chill. Her coat is really fluffy and thick which we love to brush and she does not mind it either. I look forward to many memories with our girl.
