I'm Jana H., the breeder behind Happy Hillside Pups located in Athens, OH. My pups are ACA registered and are health checked. I take pride in the love and socialization of my puppies. They are raised 100% indoors, inside my home, with children, mom and dad dog, cats and even chickens! I require video chats so that I can meet you and you can see your puppy!
Q. & A. with Jana
Why did you start breeding?
I have always wanted to breed dogs, since I was a teenager. Having puppies around the house is a dream come true for me!
What makes your program special?
I only breed one female. Consequently my litters are only available about every six months. I own both mom and dad, and they are our family pets. I am very attentive to my litters. I start basic obedience and potty training around 4-5 weeks of age.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jana was knowledgeable about the breed. She gave us excellent information and was extremely forthcoming. When we had questions, Jana was always available to answer. She made the process easy and the puppy we adopted was already on his way to being potty trained. We just felt Jana was trustworthy due to our experience and candid communication and details given so we could make an informed decision. Jana always was a very responsible breeder by insuring the puppy was going to a good home. Her prices were reasonable and we were extremely pleased with the experience. We highly recommend Jana as a breeder and would definitely use her again in the future if or when the time comes to adopt another fur baby.
