Q. & A. with Brooke
Why did you start breeding?
I adopted my first Australian Shepherd in July of 2024. That is where my love for this breed began. I’m excited to have a small part of progressing the breed in a safe, healthy, and ethical way.
What makes your program special?
At Happy Ours Australian Shepherds, we believe puppies deserve to keep the natural expression and balance their tails provide. Though docking is tradition, we feel leaving tails intact best supports communication, movement, and overall well-being. It reflects the gentle, respectful approach we bring to our program.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Little mama is due any day now! She’s always loved belly rubs, and that hasn’t changed! So we spend most of our days basking in the sun getting belly rubs. 🖤
