I'm Cindy R., the breeder behind Hawk Creek Farms located in Raymond, MN. We breed beautiful Australian Shepherds with great temperaments. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament and raised in our home as part of our family until they become a part of yours.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My daughter got her first Aussie and we decided a couple years later to start breeding these beautiful, intelligent dogs. She and my son showed in 4H and did very well, and learned a lot! Later my daughter went into a Vet Tech program and worked in the field until she started her family. She has been a great source of knowledge and help to me!

  • What makes your program special?

    We are small, and our dogs are part of the family. The puppies are raised in my home and socialized with grandchildren and friends. When it’s nice outside and they are old enough, they get to spend time playing in the yard. We strive to provide healthy, happy puppies to families looking for a wonderful companion.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cindy

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cindy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We want every family to have a great experience! If possible we love for families to come visit and spend a little time picking out their puppy, but if that’s not possible we talk through the dynamics of your family and which puppy would likely fit best.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes first round of vaccinations, deworming, registration papers and take home information packet. Individual puppies are priced according to coat color and eye color. Your deposit reserves the specific puppy you have chosen.”

Contract & health guarantee

Cindy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
