I'm Tess O., the breeder behind HayDay Dachshunds located in Harper, OR. All of our pups will leave with all vaccines, health testing, PRA testing, & vetting. I make sure they are good with people of all ages and appearances, and other animals, including birds and cats. Pups will be microchipped before leaving as well, at no additional cost.
Q. & A. with Tess
Why did you start breeding?
After fighting my cancer battle, and fighting the 'empty nest depression' when our youngest started kindergarten, I truly understood how important my sweet dachshunds were to me, and how beautiful they are. I aim to better the breed, and provide families with these loyal, loving companions.
What makes your program special?
All of my dogs are family dogs. I will never 'retire' a dog. My dogs will live among my family and be appreciated through all stages of life. My dogs are health tested, PRA clear, and AKC registered... But, most importantly, they are FAMILY.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
