I'm Lisa B., the breeder behind High Desert Goldens, LLC located in Middleton, ID. Our program is unique as it combines the best of both worlds! Our dogs are 100% naturally reared, DNA tested, health tested, trained and titled. Our puppies are available to homes that believe that raising dogs naturally gives them the best life!

Why did you start breeding?
Our mission that got us into breeding is improving the health and longevity of the Golden Retriever breed. 60% of Golden Retrievers die of cancer and that's not ok. Many others are riddled with chronic health problems. Our program gets back to nature and back to the basics of health. Raw feeding and a toxin free lifestyle are how we get there!What makes your program special?
We are a natural rearing breeder who specializes in raising dogs as close to nature as possible. We are unique in the sense that not only are our dogs raised naturally, but they are also DNA tested and fully health tested before breeding. This results is the most healthy puppies possible!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Lisa
Lisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes AKC Golden Retriever, Parvo and distemper nosodes, 3 day supply of raw dog food, a ByteTag identification tag, a binder packed full of natural rearing resources and more! Deposits are non-refundable but are transferrable for up to 2 future litters.”
Contract & health guarantee
Lisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Riggins
Riggins is an absolute GEM! He is the calmest, dog you'll ever meet! Not only is he calm, but he is smart, cuddly and confident! He finished at the top of his basic and intermediate training classes, has received his CGC title as well as the AKC Trick title and home manners title. He is such an amazing dog and everyone who meets him attempts to steal him from us! He is beautiful on the inside and out!

About Jackie
Jackie is an amazing smart, calm and beautiful dog! She finished at the top of her basic and intermediate training classes and has earned her AKC CGC title as well as her AKC trick and home manners titles! What makes Jackie super special is her empathetic abilities. If Jackie senses sadness or anxiety, she will come and lay on you. It's amazing how she can sense those emotions and bring her calming energy in and replace those emotions with peace and calmness.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
