I'm Vicky B., the breeder behind Hill Country Cavaliers located in Bandera County, TX. All of our parent dogs undergo regular health evaluations, and each puppy receives a thorough health check before joining their new family. Puppies are vaccinated and dewormed. Our Cavaliers come from champion bloodlines and are raised with plenty of love, attention, and socialization. Each puppy goes home with an AKC registration and is ready to become a cherished member of their new family.

Why did you start breeding?
Our journey into breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels began with a simple love for the breed. From the moment we welcomed our first Cavalier into our family, we were captivated by their gentle nature, loving personality, and unwavering devotion to their people. Cavaliers have a unique ability to bring joy, comfort, and companionship into everyday life. Their affectionate temperament, intelligence, and eagerness to be close to their families made us fall completely in love with them. As our passion for the breed grew, we decided to become hobby breeders with the goal of raising healthy, well-socialized puppies that would bring the same happiness to other families that our Cavaliers have brought to ours. Our dogs are first and foremost cherished members of our family, and their health, happiness, and well-being always come first. We are committed to responsible breeding practices, carefully selecting our breeding dogs, providing excellent care, and ensuring every puppy receives the love and attention they deserve from the very beginning. Getting a puppy from Vicky
Vicky has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Vicky partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Approval is based on several factors, including the applicant’s commitment to providing proper veterinary care, a safe living environment, adequate time and attention for the puppy, and a willingness to meet the responsibilities of dog ownership. We reserve the right to decline any application if we believe the placement is not in the best interest of the puppy. Once approved, families may place a reservation deposit to secure their puppy or a position on our waiting list.”

“Our puppies are the result of careful planning, responsible breeding, and a deep love for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. The price of each puppy reflects the quality of care they receive from birth, including health testing of the parents, regular veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, premium nutrition, socialization, and countless hours of hands-on attention. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy or secure a place on our waiting list. The deposit confirms your commitment and allows us to hold your chosen puppy exclusively for you. Once received, the puppy will no longer be available to other families. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of the puppy. Because we turn away other potential homes after a reservation is made, deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and a puppy is not considered reserved until the deposit has been received.”

Vicky may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
