Meet the breeder

I'm Lisa H., the breeder behind Holliday Cavalier King Charles Spaniels located in Dallas, TX. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Q. & A. with Lisa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grow up loving animals but never had a dog of my own until I got married. I homeschooled my girls and decided to raise a litter of puppies and I so enjoyed the experience. It brought me so much joy to work with the families as they looked forward to getting their new puppy and having them come to my house to adopt their little pup. I so enjoy talking to people and providing them with a beautiful puppy that I became a hobby breeder.
  • What makes your program special?

I have learned over the years the importance of doing health testing on my dogs. I fell in love with the Cavalier breed and have done a lot of research on the breed. I have an excellent breeder/mentor friend who has been breeding cavaliers for many years who has been such a blessing to me. I strive to provide healthy, well adjusted puppies to be wonderful pet puppies for their new families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

It was such a blessing to work with Lisa! She did an excellent job with Quinn. He came to me very socialized, healthy, and was box trained. It was easy to tell these puppies had been well cared for and loved. Lisa is definitely 5 Star plus. Quinn is a delight.

When Cooper, our little Blenheim King Charles Cavalier, came into our lives, we had lost our Morkie of 12 years, London, just three months prior. We were heartbroken and not really looking for another dog. We had so much love to give and we had decided to look and see. Then, Cooper happened. The best part is that Lisa and her husband were so incredible and when we met Cooper, we knew he was our new family member. All of the ‘babies’ were in a beautiful roomy place and were incredibly loved. Lisa and her sweet husband were so kind to allow us to visit Cooper (we even kept the name he had been given—it was too perfect not to!) and to tell us more about the breed. She answered all of our questions and she is the most amazing pet mom and guardian. We had nothing but a beautiful, amazing experience with Lisa and we would gladly adopt from her all over again, without question. We highly recommend Lisa for a protective, careful, safe, and knowledgeable dog mom and guardian of sweet natured King Charles Cavalier puppies and their moms, to work with.

Lisa was amazing to work with. She answered all my questions and always made me feel comfortable while we were going through the process of me getting my puppy. Ive adopted from plenty of other breeders before but i would say dealing with lisa was one of my more enjoyable and comfortable experiences. I would highly recommend getting a cavalier through her. I am so happy with my puppy and it is all thanks to her.
