I'm Rebecca K., the breeder behind Huckaby’s English Golden Retrievers located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Huckaby’s English Golden Retrievers is a small, in-home breeder located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We breed for exceptional temperament and health, maintaining the highest possible standards with OFA clearances for hips, elbows, eyes and heart, along with full genetic testing to ensure we don't breed puppies that are affected with any of the genetic diseases common in Golden Retrievers. Our puppies are raised in-home and under-foot from day one. We begin Early Neurological Stimulation at three days old, utilizing the Puppy Culture enrichment program. We focus on early socialization and problem prevention, raising our puppies to be calm enrichment seekers, ready to take on life's challenges with love and joy to spare. Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with labrador retrievers & have always had a deep love for dogs! I got my first golden retriever, Huckaby, in 2013. My bond with him, along with the unconditional love & immense joy he’s brought to my family, is what sparked my desire to share this amazing breed with others. In addition to health, we breed for the calm, loving temperament, with therapy & service dogs in our lines.What makes your program special?
I keep my breeding program small & very selective, because I only want to breed the very best temperaments & the healthiest dogs. We begin Early Neurological Stimulation at 3 days old, focusing on early socialization & problem prevention, giving each & every puppy endless individualized love & affection. My goal is to provide new families with the most well-rounded, loving puppy they’ve ever had!Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Toddy
Toddy is the daughter of our girl, Rowan. She comes from countless international champion show dogs including Rus Pekos Kolombo, Majic Truth or Dare, Majik Finders Keepers, Glitters Miss Salandatterra, etc. She is not only drop dead gorgeous, with a gorgeous blocky head, but she is also sweet as can be and has an incredibly calm and laid back temperament. To know her is to love her! She has been an amazing auntie to our recent litter and will undoubtedly be a wonderful mama! We truly cannot wait to welcome Toddy babies into the world and share them with some very lucky families!

About Penny Lane
Laney is a stunning example of the breed with a truly phenomenal temperament. She’s a very sweet and submissive girl and wants nothing more than to be by our side, fully content whether we are hanging in the yard, riding in the car, or lounging around the house. Her energy level somehow mirrors whatever it is we’re doing that day, but overall Laney has a very laid back, quiet demeanor. One thing Laney is not qualified for is being a guard dog- even when all the other dogs are barking, she is quiet as a mouse and remains cool, calm and collected no matter the circumstances. She loves every human she meets and hits it off right away with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She even loves our ragdoll cat and patiently lays still while he grooms her. Watching her takes our breath away; she is just so beautiful and graceful. Her movement is fluid and flawless. She has an outstanding build and a magnificent head for a female. She is brilliantly photogenic and as sweet as they come! We can’t wait to watch her become a mama and know she will produce gorgeous puppies with exceptional temperaments, perfect for everything from therapy to service work.

Junior show champion of Serbia. Junior Best of breed. Dunkin is a real life teddy bear. He is the sweetest, goofiest boy with the PERFECT golden retriever temperament and the most beautiful blocky head you’ve ever seen (which he thankfully passes on to most all of his babies). Dunkin is a mellow boy who loves to be loved and loves to love! He’s everything we could’ve ever hoped for in a stud!

About Rowan
Simply put, Rowan is as sweet & loving as they come. She adores children (and every human she meets), and will lie down and roll on her back for belly rubs every time a little one approaches her. We plan to get her certified as a therapy dog as soon as we retire her from breeding. She is an absolute love and we feel so blessed to have her!
