I'm Hunter N., the breeder behind Hunter's Puppies located in Macomb, MO. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members.   • Why did you start breeding?

    We imported our first breeding pair of Cavalier's from England 21 years ago.

  • What makes your program special?

    I work in veterinary medicine so I have access to great veterinary care as well as my experience of over 20 years and many hours of continuous education and schooling.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cavapoo puppies include black and tan and apricot. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Hunter

Hunter has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Hunter partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $450 non-refundable deposit and between $200 - $1,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices include health guarantees, microchips, registration applications. Deposits are non-refundable if you back out. Deposits will be refunded if in the case of something medical or otherwise that may affect the sale of the puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Hunter may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Hunter is hands-down amazing! Working with him was an absolute pleasure, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect addition to our family. From the moment we selected our puppy, he was responsive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer every question we had before placing our deposit. Throughout the entire process, he was communicative, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure we felt comfortable and informed. We had a trip planned shortly before our puppy was ready to come home and were already boarding our other dogs. When we asked if we could delay pickup by a week, Hunter was incredibly accommodating and told us it was no problem at all. He even took the time to meet with us beforehand so we could spend some time with our future baby girl and shower her with a little love before we left town. What has impressed us most, though, is the quality of the puppy he raised. Our little girl is happy, confident, healthy, and has an absolutely wonderful temperament. We also have a 3-year-old Cavalier from a previous breeder, and unfortunately that experience was far from ideal. In contrast, working with Hunter was a breath of fresh air from start to finish. It's clear that he puts tremendous care, love, and effort into his dogs and puppies. We couldn't be happier with our sweet girl, and we're already keeping an eye on Hunter's future litters. We would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized Cavalier from a breeder who truly cares.

    Hunter was great to work with for getting the puppy we were looking for. We are thoroughly enjoying Aria! She seems to have been thoroughly acclimated to various noises around the house such as the sweeper, outside blower, etc. Hunter was great to share information including pictures of her growing up before we picked her up. He then met us at a neat park close to the airport to pick her up. She was nervous about leaving him, but is now settled into her new home. She loves to place catch, tug of war, chase, etc. We went through Good Dog after checking its history and felt it was a safe spot to find a dog. Also, liked the idea that all payments were handle through the website. Thanks to both Good Dog and Hunter for helping us locate the best dog for us!
