Meet the breeder

I'm Brooke C., the breeder behind IMB Shih Tzu located in Elizabethton, TN. Our Shih Tzu are carefully matched to preserve the Shih Tzu’s sweet loveable temperaments as well as health of course. We are dedicated to producing wonderful loving hypoallergenic pets for you to enjoy for many years to come. We also have a wide range of color, common and rare.

Q. & A. with Brooke

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2014 I was looking for a hypoallergenic breed that had basically the temperament of a golden retriever but small. I came across the Shih Tzu in my search. Then I purchased my first female. I instantly fell in love so I started researching what all goes into breeding, even down to the nitty gritty. That lead to the purchase of my first male. The rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

Not only do we strive for great quality pets. We raise them in a family environment in our home. They are raised around goldens, young children, older children, and special needs. Great care is exercised in many ways to get you a well rounded family pet.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
