  • Why did you start breeding?

    Since 1992 I have trained and bred Rottweiler dogs. Proving no purebred should be "prone to" diseases or temperment issues when the pedigrees are consistently hard wired, clear and meritable.   • What makes your program special?

    Our breed program has gained a positive reputation over the 30 plus yrs, for Ethics and quality. SEE OUR GOOGLE REVIEWS. We only invest in authentic ADRK German Rottweiler dogs to use in our program. **Germany is the only country in the world that "enforce" breeding from only strict evaluated, health tested and correct structured Rottweilers. We are a code of ethics breeder with German lines.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and rust and black and mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Andrea

Andrea has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Andrea partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

"Temperment testing ensures best placement for pups needs. We use the Volhard type aptitude test. "

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,200 non-refundable deposit and between $2,550 - $4,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Please read each pup or litter discription to understand our process. We have a Waiting list. Pups are placed at 8wks old after temperment testing not from a picture. N/R Deposits, get you on waiting list. Depositors are called in order deposit was paid. We wont hold a pup based off a picture. Temperment testing depicts placement, and decided at 8 wks of age."

Irish Eyes Kennels reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Rottweilers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (JLPP)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
