



I'm Casey I., the breeder behind Ives Heritage Homestead located in Midland, MI. At Ives Heritage Homestead, I’m a hobby farmer raising family Boykin Spaniels. My female is a trained trauma response dog, and my male is a duck hunting dog. Puppies are raised hands-on in a home setting, producing confident dogs suited for hunting, therapy, work, or family life.

Casey has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Casey partners with them to find the best puppy match.

To help with that, we’ll set up a video call so you can see the puppies in real time, watch their personalities, and get a feel for which one is meant for you.”

“The price includes BSS, AKC, and UKC papers with full rights. Tails docked, back dew claws removed, age appropriate vaccines, wellness certificate, microchip, food, treats, and a blanket. Puppies with a "All Clear" genetic testing results are $1000 more which includes BSS, AKC, UKC with FULL breeding All other Puppies are clear for EIC & DM, but are carriers for CEA, but NOT affected.”

He works with focus and precision, handling retrieves with confidence in a variety of hunting conditions. Outside of his work, Huckleberry is incredibly sweet-natured and well-mannered. He is friendly with everyone he meets, gets along effortlessly with other dogs, and thrives in social environments. He has a natural love for adventure—whether it’s exploring the outdoors, riding along on trips, or being part of everyday activities. His balanced temperament makes him not only a reliable hunting partner but also a wonderful companion.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
