I'm Michelle T., the breeder behind Jo-C's Shelties located in Knoxville, IL. Our puppies are raised in the house and well socialized with other dogs, a cat and children. Clean, healthy happy puppies. The mother Clara is first most a loved household member and also works as a demo dog for obedience instruction and has 1 AKC conformation point and will be returning to the show ring. The sire Fable is an AKC Champion.

Why did you start breeding?
My mom was a kennel maid in England and worked for a well know breeder/judge here in Illinois. She took over his kennel when his health/age forced retirement. I assisted her in her operation and started my own program 20 years ago.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Clara
Clara is a female Shetland Sheepdog. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Michelle decided to make her part of their program. Michelle has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
