I'm Annie J., the breeder behind Jones Grove Puppies located in Walnut Grove, MO. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish our parents as pets and want to share the love of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with others. We train and evaluate our puppies from birth to be the best for you!
Q. & A. with Annie
Why did you start breeding?
My family bred and trained bird dogs for hunting my whole childhood. This is where I fell in love with Spaniels - but then I met the Cavalier King Charles. Those sweet dispositions and those eyes! When I found out that they make excellent therapy dogs, but they have some health problems (like all purebred doggos) I wanted to breed them to be the absolute healthiest possible. So, that's what I do.
What makes your program special?
We do more health testing than is necessary, but what really sets us apart is the fact that we train from day 3 of their little lives. We use puppy curriculum to make them the best, most ready for your family. We also do temperament tests so that when you choose your puppy, you can know you have the one most aligned with what you're looking for. We wait to place until we know their personalities.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are ruby. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
