I'm Kathleen C., the breeder behind Journie Shih Tzu located in Mount Dora, FL. I breed quality Shih Tzu by standards set by the American Kennel Club and American Shih Tzu Club. My dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on confirmation.

Why did you start breeding?
When I decided to Show my Shih Tzu in Conformation, I also understood it would include breeding. I had several mentors to teach and guide me over the years and attended seminars by veterinarians on the breeding and birthing process.What makes your program special?
My female dogs are the heart of my breeding program. All are AKC Conformation Champions. I spend a great deal of time with my girls from birth, training, showing and breeding. I am very much hands on in my breeding. They are health checked prior to breeding.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white and gold and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
