I'm Tisha L., the breeder behind JT Bostons located in George West, TX. We're a family of breeders located in Tx & OK. Our dogs are our beloved kids!!. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Boston Terrier breeders. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs.   • Why did you start breeding?

    I used to show standard Boston's then fell in love with colored ones. It is a family business. My grandparents and great-grandparents started raising Boston Terriers. Our family has been breeding ever since. I was raised on a dairy farm and cattle ranch so breeding & taking care of animals comes naturally to me. My job is to bring joy to every fur family.

  • What makes your program special?

    All my breeding dogs are completely OFA CHIC certified and DNA clear to ensure the HEALTH OF PUPPIES! All of my puppies receive NeoPar at 4 weeks & 1st 5-way combo vaccination at 7 weeks. I deworm to ensure proper protocol on parasite prevention. I realize nothing is 100% but I go above to ensure all precautions are taken. My partner and I strive to produce the best.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, lilac, blue, black and white, seal brindle and white, seal and white, brindle and white, and black brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Tisha with JT Bostons made sure I received a health and happy baby boy. She gave me clear communication on what to expect and gave me updates with videos every Sunday. Most breeders say they will deliver your puppy on their page however they really don’t for one reason or another. Tisha made sure my Little Ricky was delivered from her state to Tampa airport where I picked Ricky up. Sandra hand delivered him with all his paperwork and a bag full of starter things that I didn’t even think of. Sandra was very thorough with explaining the paperwork and what was in the bag for Ricky. I am still receiving help with tips. Tisha really cares about her dogs and the puppies she is very thorough with follow up to ensure everything is going good.

    5-Star Review: Tisha – The Best Boston Terrier Breeder We were hesitant about getting a puppy—I’m a first-time dog owner and worried about the work. But when Tisha shared videos of her litter, our family fell in love instantly with Bartolo Fett, our beautiful little black-and-white Boston Terrier gentleman. Love at first sight—no other dogs compared! Tisha was amazing from day one: super responsive, sending weekly Sunday videos that the kids (and adults!) waited for eagerly. She made us feel connected before he even arrived. Delivery day was perfect—Bartolo came in a cozy hoodie carrier with food trays, toys, shampoo, lotion, probiotics, and everything we needed.     Our family had been searching for a second Boston Terrier to keep our seven-year-old company. Choosing Tisha was the best decision we could have made. This is our third Boston, and it was very important to us that we were working with a responsible and ethical breeder. From the very beginning, Tisha was very responsive and patient, answering all of our questions and reassuring us that we were working with someone that truly loves her animals. She sent weekly photos and videos so we could watch our puppy grow, which made the wait even more special. Our pup was ready on December 24, creating the ultimate Christmas surprise for our kids—Who doesn’t want a puppy for Christmas? Even though we live eight hours away, Tisha met us halfway to deliver our puppy. She sent us home with plenty of treats, toys, and other goodies to help us get started.     Tisha made my entire experience a seemless process and I could not be more pleased with Lillybelle! Tisha also provided weekly videos so I could see her growing and interacting with her littermates, which I appreciated. Lillybelle is absolutely perfect!! It is very evident how much Tisha loves what she does and how much she loves all these babies. When I got Lillybelle home it was very clear she had been well-socialized and had received lots of love and affection. She is a quite confident puppy, has a very curious personality, has adapted very well to her new home, and is SO smart. She is already fully litter box potty trained and is learning to go potty outside. The health documentation was very thorough on both, Lillybelle, as well both parents.
