Q. & A. with Karen
Why did you start breeding?
Over 20 years ago I started looking for the right breed for me. I was introduced to the Field Spaniel and I was hooked. I decided to become a breeder as I felt the breed could be better. I wanted a dog that was confident and structurally correct & so after being in the breed for 12 years I had my first litter. That litter set a high bar for me and I strive to continue to preserve the breed.
What makes your program special?
I breed dogs that can be show dogs and still work. I health test not only the parents but the puppies as well. My family and I start working with the puppies from day one so when they go home they have been started on grooming practices, crate training as well as introduced to a lot of stimuli. We also match puppies to their new families to ensure the best fit possible.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
