I'm Russ K., the breeder behind Kindig Kennels located in Roseland, NE. Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. They make excellent hunting companions and family pets. We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. We take great pride in our dogs, and they produce outstanding puppies.
Q. & A. with Russ
Why did you start breeding?
Had a beautiful yellow male named Remi that I wanted a pup out of. After doing my homework and getting health tests done, we found he had hip dysplasia. I also found out after doing homework just because he was a good hunter didn't mean he was a good stud prospect.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because we truly feel we wouldn't breed 2 dogs if we wouldn't be happy to keep a pup from the breeding. All of our pups are born and raised in our house. They are well socialized by our 4 boys and little girl. We put a lot of time into finding the right pup or started dog to put into our program. Then just as much time on what sire to breed to.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
