I'm Chris D., the breeder behind KINGDOMRUN Cavaliers located in Pickerington, OH. We breed Cavaliers that we believe hold qualities that represent the breed standard choosing always for health, type, temperament, and conformation. Our Cavaliers are shown to their championships, an exercise which demonstrates our dogs to be good representatives of the breed.
Q. & A. with Chris
Why did you start breeding?
It was a natural progression of loving and showing Cavaliers, which led me to become a student of the breed and eventually breeding myself. This breed's confirmation including beauty and wonderful temperament are what drew me to Cavaliers and why I love the breed so much.
What makes your program special?
The care we take of our Cavaliers including annual health testing. Breed Standard of excellence before breeding MUST be met. The community we have been privileged to be mentored by and the care and continued support of the breed and it’s owners.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are blenheim. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
KINGDOMRUN Cavaliers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome (CKSID)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
