I'm Kelsea S., the breeder behind KNJ Aussies located in Kim, CO. We have made a lot of changes to better the Aussie line for conformation, temperament, and longevity. We work hard to stay with breed standard and are proud of our accomplishments. We are constantly researching genetics, coat traits, bone health, and more so that we can make responsible breeding choices.
Q. & A. with Kelsea
Why did you start breeding?
I first purchased my first breeding pair several years ago starting a small program. Around here we like to call it an “Aussie bug” because you can’t have enough! The amount of passion we have for the breed has shown tremendously.
What makes your program special?
We have added the ability to temperament test at 7 weeks of age. We have a child in the house who the pups interact with regularly so we can get a feel for their disposition in a family setting or whether they would be better for an individual. We also take dogs to a training facility for obedience, good canine citizen testing, agility, rally, and trick training.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.
