Why did you start breeding?
My wife and I are semi-retired and have always shared a love for all animals. We have had many breeds of dogs but have been partial to Shelties. When we moved into the country we acquired a couple of Shelties.What makes your program special?
Kountry Home Shelties our dog's excellent care and room to run. They are exposed to people of all ages for the elderly to infants. Kountry Shelties is located in cental Illinois. We have delivered our puppies to many locations. On one occasion we delivered to Boston, Ma.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle white and tan and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Maddie
Maddie is a loving girl. She is very aware of her surroundings. She will let you know if someone new is around. She loves to run in the yard and play, but she knows where her boundary lines are in the yard. Her favorite thing to do now is to play with her puppies.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dermatomyositis, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
