I'm LaLainya J., the breeder behind LaLa's Lilliputian Lassies located in Houston, TX. I want to make SURE any potential new puppy parents understand "Toy" Sheltland Sheepdog is absolutely NOT a recognized breed or separate category in AKC. Some puppies may grow to a small standard size of 13-13.5".

Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to help prevent other people the heartache I felt when I lost 2 dogs in 1 year to health problems. My parent dogs are fully health tested and clear of any genetic health problems.What makes your program special?
I specifically breed undersized AKC shelties of UK type. They are lighter boned and have narrower muzzles than US type. My dogs are first and foremost our pets. They live in the house and sleep in bed with us. I breed first for health, then temperament, then type/look. My babies come with lifetime support and a lot of extras you probably won't get elsewhere.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Toy Shetland Sheepdog puppies are sable & white. Shetland Sheepdog puppies are sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

There is nothing shy or reserving about this gorgeous, little girl! Zyla is the whole package, size, brains, beauty, athletic ability! She has earned her Trick Dog Novice title and passed the evaluation on her Trick Dog Intermediate...I just misplaced it and haven't sent it in yet! She really enjoys Barn Dog and Rat Hunting activities and I think she would love FastCat we just haven't had the opportunity to try it yet.

About Kaizen
"Kaizen" MDR1, VWD, CEA, GM, DM, DMS all clear/clear. Bite correct. Eyes good. DMS Low Risk. 11.85” and 9lbs I have NO idea why this site insists that Sable & White is non-standard. It is the MOST standard color there is in Shelties! Kaizen is an absolutely stunning boy! Fully DNA tested, clear/clear, pure-for-sable male, that is undersize with natural tipped ears! Kaizen is very unusual in that he plays an active role in raising and caring for his puppies. He is a very sweet and loving dad. He's also a spoiled Momma's Boy that I take with me everywhere I can. He has earned AKC Trick Dog Novice, Intermediate and Advanced titles. His dad, Durango, has many AKC Champions in his pedigree. His Grandpa, Elvis is an International champion in Agility and holds multiple Agility and Rally titles. Kaizen loves Triebball and agility type practice. If you are looking for a sweet, tiny, Sheltie with loads of class and presence, Kaizen is your daddy!

About Blossom
I still say that Sable & White is as standard a color as they come. Blossom, however, could be referred to as a Flashy Sable & White because she has a bit more white than standard. I included pictures of her parents with her pictures. Her father is a bi-black and her mother is a sable CHW. Both her parents are 11", she is 12.5". All the puppies in this, her first litter with Kaizen, were smaller at birth than all the puppies in both litters with Zyla. Zyla's puppies have, for the most part, turned out to be 13-15 pounds when grown, I expect all of these to be smaller

DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

LaLainya was amazing! She cares so much about her puppies and the people who adopt them. She answered all of our questions both before and after we got our new puppy. She is so knowledgeable about everything to do with feeding and caring for our puppy as well as good advise regarding which vaccines to get and which to avoid. She has taken so much care in breeding her puppies in order to assure that her puppies are the healthiest possible and will live long lives. The icing on the cake was all of the gifts she gave us when we picked up our puppy. There were cages and carriers, food dishes and a whole bunch of squeaky toys as well as snacks and treats. She sent us a book on Shelties as well as the registration with AKC for our puppy. She is even sending the microchip to insert in her so we can get her back if she gets lost. She is so kind and caring and it shows in how she takes care of her puppies as well as the puppies parents.

+6Lalainya was great to work with. You can tell she cares for her puppies and not just randomly breeding. She worked with me as I used a third party delivery driver to get the puppy delivered. The puppy is very adjusted, super cute and sweet. She shared what he liked to play with and sent me suggestions. The puppy settled in quickly, have no adverse reactions or anxiety to riding cars or being alone. We just love him.

+4LaLainya is a master breeder of toy shelties. Our pup Cobie is a prime example. If she weren’t intentionally small, I’d say she would be show quality. Her golden color comes from her father while streaks of black in her tail, mane and ears are from her tricolored mom complement her overall appearance. She is highly intelligent and very active, as expected from her breed. All my neighbors love her, even when she spins and barks. She takes to the leash well, but our backyard is her domain where she can run and play all day. She is extremely fast. If I could I’d get her a couple sheep to herd! If anyone is looking for a small Sheltie, I’d highly recommend LaLa Lilliputian Lassies
