I'm Jill M., the breeder behind Lava Rock Adventures located in Blackfoot, ID. I am a small hobby breeder with the goal of breeding healthy, happy dogs to better the breed. I do all that I can to raise the best puppies possible - a clean environment, quality food, and lots of toys and socialization. I focus on temperament, soundness, and beauty. My dogs are family members first and foremost. I am passionate about the work I do and truly love my dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for Golden Retrievers inspired me to share this amazing breed with the world in a responsible way. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. It has been an absolute joy of a journey and I pride myself on helping all of my clients find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.What makes your program special?
I have always been invested in the well-being of animals and am passionate about the work I do. My life revolves around my dogs and meeting their needs both socially and medically. I strive to bring you the healthiest, most well-rounded puppies. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience. That includes always having responsible practices for breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Golden Retriever line.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
