I'm Lisa C., the breeder behind Legend Cavaliers located in Albany, GA. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! Our puppies become integral members of our family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    In 2004, a dear friend, Cindy, arrived at my Ocala Florida horse farm with a pair of darling Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies in tow. It was my first encounter with the breed, and I was immediately mesmerized by their sweet expression and the lovely colors of their shiny coats. Cindy unexpectedly thrust them both into my arms, and the pups instantly nuzzled into the crook of my neck and showered me with kisses as if I were a long lost friend. I was hooked! I absolutely had to have one, so I made finding quality showing and breeding stock my "mission impossible" for the next year or so. Since I had spent the prior 20 years breeding Thoroughbred race horses, showing and breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels was a natural continuation along my path. I was so very lucky to find a long-time breeder with exceptionally healthy bloodlines who trusted in me and agreed to sell me one of her champion bloodline pups with the agreement that she would become my mentor. We remain close friends to this day.

  • What makes your program special?

    If you come to me for a Cavalier you probably already understand that you are not just buying a pet, you are adding a family member to your household. With the proper care and guidance, your puppy will be with you for many years to come. To this end, I promise to be available to every new puppy owner with 24/7 mentoring and support for the life of the dog. You will receive all of the manuals I have created with plenty of information on everything from housebreaking, vaccinations, grooming, health, training, diet and exercise, and much more.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lisa

Lisa has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $3,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"This includes full vet exam, health certificate, bill of sale with one year health guarantee, AKC registration papers, microchip, pedigree certificate, first round of vaccinations, and parasite exam. Deposits are refundable if for some unusual reason I am unable to provide the puppy (which has never happened). If you decide to wait for another litter the deposit will be applied forward."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
