Meet the breeder

I'm Alison G., the breeder behind Limestone River Labradors located in Zionsville, IN. Our breedings are selected to ensure the health & well-being of our dogs. We conduct health screenings & genetic testing to ensure that our dogs are free of any hereditary diseases or conditions. We provide our dogs with the best possible care, proper nutrition, exercise, socialization, & training.

Q. & A. with Alison

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with the English Labradors from the moment we brought our first one home. We decided shortly there after that this was a breed that we needed to help other families be able to have also. With lots of guidance from some wonderful mentors and our amazing vet, we launched our breeding program and Limestone River Labradors was born.
  • What makes your program special?

We personally believe that with all the health screenings that we do on our animals, the careful selection of our breeding pairs, as well as following the breed standards on the size and build of a Labrador Retriever, we are able to offer top quality dogs to individuals and families alike.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had a great experience with Alison in purchacing a black lab puppy. I found her very caring and once I saw the picture of Marco and put the down payment I would get weekly updates until I picked him up. That was not what I expected but in the future would demand. But everything went so smooth and easy from start to finish I would highly recomend her for their future needs--I know I will. When I picked Marco up at her house she had everything ready and a to go bag of everything I needed from puppy food to little toys for him which I thought was very thoughtful. Just a pleasure to work with !!! Alan Phelps

This has been one of the best experiences I have had with a breeder. Alison takes very good care of these animals and is an incredibly responsible and ethical breeder. You can tell she loves the breed and the individual animals and takes care to ensure the best outcome for everyone involved. She has been informative and has frequently made herself available to answer questions and communications after the adoption process. The puppy I received from her has been an absolute joy and a blessing, a beautiful and well behaved animal. I would highly recommend Alison to anyone seriously seeking their next companion/ family pet.

Working with Alison and Limestone River Labradors was the best experience. I had never purchased a dog from a breeder and was a little skeptical but she made me feel very comfortable thru the entire process. I was sent weekly updates on the pups and what to expect on pick up day. When we picked them up Alison had everything ready to go, microchip information already completed, information on their vet records, collars, food. It was the best experience being new to purchasing from a breeder. I would do it all again. Thank you for our furbabies and entrusting us to care for them in their forever home.
