Meet the breeder

I'm Damaris T., the breeder behind Little Bitty Dachshunds located in Tecumseh, OK. We are passionate breeders of miniature dachshunds, dedicated to raising happy, healthy, and well-socialized puppies. Our dachshunds are loved members of the family, raised in a nurturing home.

Q. & A. with Damaris

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up my parents bred Rottweilers and my grandparents bred Greyhounds. Finally out in the world as an adult I have transitioned into making my own breeding program with miniature dachshunds!
  • What makes your program special?

My small breeding program stands out because of the deep love, care, and dedication I put into every puppy. Each one is raised in a clean, safe, and nurturing home environment where they receive constant attention and early socialization. I want to be sure every puppy is happy, healthy, and ready to become a beloved family member.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, red, black, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had such a great experience with this breeder! From the very beginning, communication was excellent—they kept us updated on how Oscar was doing and made sure we felt prepared every step of the way before bringing our pup home. They also set us up with all the tools we needed to help him feel comfortable and settled, which made the transition so much smoother. You can tell they truly care about their dogs and the families they go to. We couldn’t be any happier! 🌭

Damaris was amazing! She was very consistent with her communication and her trainings. I brought my puppy home and she is practically potty trained already! She is a very happy and loving puppy as well. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to get a puppy from Damaris and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

When my son was four, my boss rehomed her 9-year-old blue and white piebald Dachshund, Max, to my son. When my son was eight, his dad passed away from cancer, and Max was his best friend and emotional support through that time. Max crossed over the rainbow bridge last fall when my son was 12. "Boy 1" looked so similar to Max that I knew he needed to join our family. Damaris was so good to work with. She was very responsive, answered all my questions, sent weekly updates, and even met me at the airport for pickup. I would absolutely work with her again.
