I'm Cornelia G., the breeder behind Luv-N-Laughter Lhasa Apsos located in Hillsboro, OR. We love to raise our dogs in the house with us so they become well rounded and socialized family pets. We give a lot if attention to each dog and provide them with the best food, vet care and lives we can.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We first heard about the Lhasa Apso from an article in the readers digest and shortly after on vacation some friends had a litter of puppies and one was available. We ended up taking her home and our lives have never been the same. The Lhasa breed made its way into our hearts and lives and we have owned or bred now for over 30 years.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are pets first and foremost. They sleep on our beds or at the foot of the bed, they are out our laps when we sit for a spell. We buy each of them toys for chirstmas (and other times) and we play with them. When we breed we look at the health before we decide to breed. All our puppies are born either in my room or living room with someone in attendance and raised in the living room with us. They are all part of our family

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include parti, brindle, red gold, red, golden, black and tan, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cornelia

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cornelia partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,350 - $1,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the puppy is healthy at time of sale, a vet check, age appropriate vaccines and wormings as well as socialization. The deposit is non-refundable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Cornelia may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     The puppy our family received was the perfect touch that we all wanted. Nothing could have prepared us for the amount of joy that would come with Jasmine. She has a feisty character within her along with the most funnest things that she does makes her an amazing addition to our family. She loves to run around our floors putting on the brakes and sliding. She makes the funniest noises sometimes just out of the blue and when it’s bedtime she is very well behaved for a puppy. Sure she has her moments when she thinks it’s play time but, over all she settles down and she is very smart to realize that when mom and dad lay down it’s bedtime. She sleeps mostly closer to mom so she has definitely established a bond with mom and yes dad too. She has brought happiness to our family. She is well tempered and full of energy. If you are looking for a puppy I would encourage you to make contact with luv N laughter Julie and her mom were amazing people to work with..They are very nice people and the communication was outstanding. Julie updated us on our little girl on how she was growing and all the information we might need and if we had any questions she would answer. She would give us updates pictures and videos which we absolutely loved. The whole experience was wonderful from the time we picked out our little girl to meeting our little girl for the first time.     Julie and Cornelia were so helpful, not only with making sure we were a good fit with their puppy, but making sure the whole transaction supported the puppy getting off to the best start. She coordinated logistics (we met puppy at airport) photo, video and health updates were regular and she was always responsive if a question came up. Now that we’ve had Finnley for 2 weeks, we can tell he’s active, healthy, intelligent and thriving. They have continued to stay in touch with us to check on puppy’s well-being.

    I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience has been with Julie and Cornelia. They took excellent care to keep us in the loop as our new puppy grew and developed. Videos, emails with updates, and quick responses to any questions we had. We got a happy, healthy puppy who played with us the first night home. Our vet told us we “got a good one” with a lovely temperament. He is a sweetheart and I believe that is in part due to the great beginning he got at Julie and Cornelia’s home.
