Q. & A. with Lynn
Why did you start breeding?
I was heavily involved in Obedience, Tracking & sport for 12 years in my past. Having numerous awards and trophies for show and other, with another breed.
I so enjoyed the contribution I could make to the breed and fell in love with having a special litter. Now, I am doing what I can do to contribute to a healthy special family memberwith this most loving, beautiful breed, the Australian Shepherd
What makes your program special?
I do want to make clear, I require a phone call prior to placing any puppies. There is so much spam, this has to be clear to anyone interested Anyone that breeds should never breed for profit and always do the best for the breed to improve and create a breed standard and sustainability of the breed. My dogs are family, raised in a family and puppy's are raised to have a easy transition to their new special homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Lynn Gregory - Blueridge Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Animal Genetics Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
