Meet the breeder

I'm Shannon B., the breeder behind MacArthur Cavi’s located in Hays, KS. When we got our first dog, we were instantly in love. Since then, we’ve made it our mission to bring happy, healthy puppies into the lives of other families!

Q. & A. with Shannon

  • What makes your program special?

What makes my breeding program different is the deep love I have for my dogs. Before anything else, she is my baby—loved, spoiled, and cared for like my own daughter. I never got her with the intention to breed. It was simply a dream in my heart, a quiet hope that one day she might experience motherhood. But it was never a plan, just a wish. Then, as if it were meant to be, I was blessed to connect with another family of Cavaliers who shared the same love and devotion for their dogs as I do. Everything just clicked. The timing, the connection, the shared values—it all felt like destiny. This journey isn’t about producing puppies; it’s about honoring the love and bond I have with my girl, and continuing that legacy with care, heart, and purpose.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We are so glad we found Shannon thru Good Dog. She was amazing to work with and answered all our questions about Cavaliers. We could easily tell how much she loves and cares for her puppies. After bringing Rocky home we had some additional questions and Shannon was extremely responsive in returning our calls. We highly recommend Shannon.

Luna is my first puppy and I had such a great experience throughout the adoption process. Shannon is absolutely wonderful. She goes above and beyond for her puppies and their new owners. I loved getting photos and updates while Luna was growing. Shannon was kind enough to drive 3 hours from her home to meet me at the airport. She surprised us by sending the most generous and thoughtful care package for Luna once we got home. I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done, and continues to do, for me and Luna. She’s always very helpful when I have questions or ask for advice now that Luna’s home. I’m incredibly grateful I found Shannon. I highly recommend adopting a puppy from Shannon.
