I'm Amanda R., the breeder behind Mancandy German Shorthairs and French Bulldogs located in Shevlin, MN. I have been raising and showing dogs since 1996, learning a-lot along the way. I have made great friends and had exceptional mentors. Every breed comes with its own set of challenges and as a breeder, I do my best to breed the best quality dogs, to AKC standards. I breed for health, temperament and overall conformation. Although you may not be looking for a show dog, you should be looking for quality.

Why did you start breeding?
I started out raising English Mastiffs in 1996 and after 13 years decided to move to a smaller breed to show. After much research, I chose the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as my next breed, and along the way I also came to be owned by a french Bulldog and a German Shorthair Pointer. All of my dogs are companions before they are show dogs.What makes your program special?
We live in the country and allow our dogs to run our five fenced acres to build muscle and maintain strong toned bodies. We have chickens that our dogs have learned to live alongsideWhere do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Amanda
Amanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amanda partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. We will not take a deposit until we have had a chance to speak with you in person. ”
Price
“This price includes a one year health guarantee, AKCregistration papers, shot records,(1st shot, three wormings) a small bag of puppy food, microchip. Your deposit holds a puppy of a specific gender. We will not hold a puppy for you without a deposit. If you change your mind, all but $100 of your deposit will be returned once the puppy is purchased by a new buyer.”

About Pip
Pip is four years old and has been a great dog. She loves to play tetherball and golf, and runs with a German shorthair pointers like she is one of them. She walks with me to feed the chickens and is so good about leaving them alone. She is quite bonded to me and listens like no French bulldog I’ve ever had.!! She currently has a three-point major in the showring, during her first time out. This is Pip’s first time having a litter .

About Schatzi
Schatzi is a calm and loving girl, full of energy. She has to smell your breath when she meets you! She is a house dog who has run of five fenced acres. She has never been hunting, but has brought us two grouse several snakes, gophers and bunnies.
