I'm Maggie A., the breeder behind Mardox Dachshunds located in Bethany, CT. I am dedicated to providing healthy, well tempered family pets and am always available for consultation. Every puppy we raise is adored as part of our family from birth. Our puppies will complete your home, your family, and your heart!

    I raise my dogs with love. They live in my home underfoot, and not in a kennel environment

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Maggie

Maggie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $2,800 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Standard Veterinary Blood Panel

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Maggie was such a nice person. She kept in touch with me including sending photos during the process of adopting my new dachshund pup! I’ve had “Leah” for about 3 1/2 weeks and she is doing wonderful. She had a great report at the Vet I brought her too.     I had such a great experience getting my puppy from Maggie! She was so kind, easy to talk to, and clearly puts a lot of love into raising her dogs.
