I'm Ivan V., the breeder behind Max & Pearl The Ocala Maltese Family located in Marion Oaks, FL. We have been in Florida since 2014. We are a former military family. Our puppies are raised with love and affection and receive the best care from our vets here in the Ocala area.

Why did you start breeding?
Because we fell in love with this amazing breed. They are the best companions you will ever had. We live by our motto “ Dogs Don’t Deserve Us”, They are Angels” and the Maltese Breed is a testament to that.What makes your program special?
We care for these dogs as family members. They are daily companions. They re kept indoors, groomed every 2 weeks and raised with love, Kindness and compassion. This translates into good behavior and nice temperament.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and white and lemon. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Ivan
Ivan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ivan partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Max (Stud) & Pearl (Sire) have both been DNA Tested and cleared from over 30 congenital diseases. Max (5 years) and Pearl (2 years) are our family dogs. these puppies are care with love affection. With your deposit, you are reserving a specific puppy and guarantee paying the remaining balance at pickup or delivery of the Puppy.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
