Meet the breeder

I'm Mary Beth P., the breeder behind MB’s Dachshunds located in Stilwell, OK. When we got our first dog, we were instantly in love. Since then, we’ve made it our mission to bring smart, lovable companions into the lives of other families!

Q. & A. with Mary Beth

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband and I have always had dogs but never any small dogs like Dachshunds. We decided to get one to grow up with our youngest daughter, so she could have a built in best friend. We instantly fell in love with her and decided we wanted another one. We are blessed to have the cutest litter and can’t wait to spread the love with others through our Doxie’s and their puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

Our Dachshunds are very socialized, such as being around kids and other Dachshunds. It is very important to us that our dogs/puppies are happy and healthy and go to loving and safe homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Mary Beth

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Mary Beth partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We are committed to placing each puppy in a loving, lifelong home. While we understand that every family is different, we carefully consider several factors when matching our puppies with potential owners. We look for families who: * Are prepared for the time, patience, and commitment required to raise a puppy. * Understand the various stages of puppy development, including house training, teething, socialization, and adolescence. * Can provide a safe, stable, and loving environment. * Have appropriate living arrangements and secure areas for exercise and supervision. * Are financially prepared for routine veterinary care, vaccinations, quality nutrition, and unexpected medical expenses. * View their puppy as a lifelong family member rather than a temporary companion. * Are willing to maintain communication with us and reach out if they ever need guidance or support. Our goal is to make the best possible match between each puppy and their future family, ensuring a happy and successful transition for both. We reserve the right to decline a placement if we feel a home is not the right fit for one of our puppies. This process is not about finding perfect families it’s about finding committed, responsible homes where our puppies can thrive for a lifetime. 🐾”

Mary Beth was so wonderful. She has been very supportive and helpful in our new parent puppy journey. Potty training has been pretty easy because she came puppy pad trained so we just transitioned from there on to bell training and it’s been very successful. Mary Beth has continued to reach out and lets us know that she is always there if we have questions or problems. So far our only problem is that this little princess is already spoiled rotten and she LOVES to be the center of everyone’s attention!! We named our beautiful little girl Maize. We had our first vet check since we brought her home to us and got her puppy shots. When I gave him the paperwork Mary Beth had given me about her health and what she had been given he was very impressed with her as a breeder. The vet said she had been well taken care of and that he could tell she cared very much for her puppies by her paperwork.

She was very responsive and sent us pictures of our girl frequently! Thank you Mary Beth!

Working with Mary was such an easy process. She answered ALL of our questions, even the “silly” ones - Sent pictures of the pup we had chosen while we waited for our pick up date - And even after pick up, has checked up on our sweet girl and how she’s fitting in with our family! I truly could not recommend Mary more!!

Working with Mary Beth was amazing!!!! And our Indie is perfect. From the minute we sent a message to Mary Beth it was like talking to someone I’d known for years. She sent weekly updates of our pup. She has checked in since we brought her home. It has been the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend getting your new furry friend from MB Dachshunds!

Mary Beth and her family have been absolutely amazing to work with. Throughout the entire process, we were able to FaceTime our puppy, Bean, every week and received consistent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even after bringing him home, Mary continued to check in and make sure he was doing well. She truly went above and beyond every step of the way. We didn’t just gain a new family member, we gained a lifelong friend. When we’re ready to add another puppy to our family, Mary will be at the very top of our list.
