Meet the breeder

I'm BobbieJo H., the breeder behind Meant To Be Cavalier King Charles Spaniels located in Meredith, NH. We built our program with care, purpose and intention in every step. We are passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and it is our goal to provide each dog that comes from our program with a solid foundation of good health, neurological development, and loving care.

Q. & A. with BobbieJo

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with this breed & I tried for more than 5 years searching for the right Cavalier. I finally found the perfect pup for me halfway across the US, & he has become the best Cavalier for me. We have received and been working towards many titles. I decided then that I would love to be able to provide others near & far from me the option to buy a healthy, well tempered Cavalier.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are part of my family. I spend all of my time, energy and love on my Cavalier KCS. I provide early neurological stimulation (ENS) exercises with our newborn puppies and I start their puppy potty training. I provide a learning environment to increase puppy brain and motor development.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

It was a pleasure working with Good Dog and BobbieJo when adopting our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. BobbieJo provided an abundance of information about his parents and her breeding program from the very beginning. She promptly sent copies of health testing records for his parents as well. BobbieJo is extremely knowledgeable about this breed and is clearly is devoted to providing quality care and enriching experiences for her dogs and puppies. It is reassuring to know that she is always willing to thoroughly answer any questions that I have as they come up. Good Dog ensured that the adoption went smoothly with secure payment processing and access to support before and after pick up. We are delighted with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy and would highly recommend BobbieJo and Good Dog to anyone looking for a new fur baby.

We had such a wonderful experience with Bobbie Jo. Juniper, or Juni as we call her, has been the most wonderful addition to our family. She is sweet, sassy, smart, playful, and all the wonderful things puppies are. She lights up when seeing us in the morning and is always up for romping around and playing before crashing out for a nice nap, usually on or next to us. She is wondering with my kids and they all adore her as well. She is doing great with crate and potty training too. We love her so much and feel so blessed that Bobbie Jo let us adopt her from her. Bobbie Jo was both informative and helpful throughout the entire process and a wonderful example of what a preservation breeder should strive for. We are so lucky to have connected with Bobbie Jo, she is a lifelong partner in raising our Juni.

BobbieJo was very responsive from the start of our conversations and helped us end up with the best puppy for us. Our dog is 7 months now, and the puppy has been wonderful- the easiest dog we have ever had. I would purchase another dog from BobbieJo (and hope to someday).
