His is a working bred, smart, friendly fella who is looking to help you produce amazing puppies! He is a therapy dog and serves trauma victims, those who suffer from substance abuse, elderly and children.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the Aussie breed & have chosen to use my male to help produce wonderful little puppy citizens!What makes your program special?
The love, care, and devotion I’m pouring into it. My dogs are my world. I believe a good breeder helps dogs stay out of shelters!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Oakley
Oakley is a female Australian Shepherd over 6 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Kayla decided to make her part of their program. Kayla has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing
Good level
Melody Ranch Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
