Meet the breeder

I'm Jackie K., the breeder behind Mighty Paws Manor located in Pryor, OK. Our love for the dachshund breed goes back over 25 years. In 2017 we purchased our first AKC registered longhaired dachshund from a breeder in Texas, 3 short years later that we welcomed our first litter. By keeping our breeding program small, we are able to keep all of our dogs living in our home.

Q. & A. with Jackie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always enjoyed raising and caring for dogs. So as our children matured and left home, I naturally transitioned to breeding dachshunds.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies include prepaid AKC Registration and a complete Embark DNA Report. Report includes over 270+ genetic health risks, traits, and breed ancestry. All of our dogs are genetically screened for over 200 known disorders. We also OFA screen them for basic cardiac, eyes, and patella. When using an outside stud, we require both an extensive genetic report and brucellosis screenings.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
