Meet the breeder

I'm Elizabeth C., the breeder behind Mirage Siberians located in Gladewater, TX. We breed to the standard, prove our dogs in conformation shows, and do appropriate health testing. We provide lifelong support should you need any assistance with one of our dogs at any point in the future. We also provide a health and genetic guarantee with our puppies. We love having the opportunity to better this breed and share these wonderful dogs with others.

Q. & A. with Elizabeth

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a family that bred a litter or two here and there. Not having a dog for a while going through college my husband and I made the decision right after we married to get a puppy. We had some health issues with the first few dogs we purchased so we decided we wanted to learn the right way to do this. We show, we health test, we breed dogs true to the standard and strive for excellence.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dedication to finding the right dog for each breeding. Hours upon hours of research goes into each and every breeding to find the best match in temperament, structure, health, and conformation. We show our dogs and do all appropriate health testing per the SHCA guidelines. Each puppy is handled and socialized each day. We are dedicated to the betterment of our breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Shiba Inu puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
