Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle H., the breeder behind Mishmo's Shibas and Papillons located in San Diego County, CA. I'm a hobby show breeder and started showing my first Papillon in 2016. I strive to the improvement of the breed standard. I hand-raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family complementary to their personality and ability!

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding to not only preserve my own phenomenal bloodlines but to improve the Papillon breed with each litter and do my part to ensure the well-being of these dogs for generations more to come.
  • What makes your program special?

I focused on show quality dogs with complementary traits. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my pups. I love what I do and truly want nothing more than to see each and every one of my puppies shine!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
