Meet the breeder

I'm Patricia J., the breeder behind Moondancers Poodles located in Lillian, AL. All our puppies are AKC Poodles (Standard, Miniature) Every poodle we sell comes AKC pre-registered, microchipped, vet record/certificate of Good Health and a written 2-year Health Guarantee. We stand by our poodles.

Q. & A. with Patricia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have enjoyed the poodle breed for many years and when I chose to begin breeding I began researching the Poodle breed in detail along with what makes the poodle a well breed poodle. I began gathering information on how to breed responsibly by testing with the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA) and testing Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) along with structure and temperament.
  • What makes your program special?

My Breeding dogs live inside my home in my everyday life with me. They are a part of the family. They attend regular training sessions to gain proper obedience and are task-trained with a job and purpose. A trained dog is a happy dog. Our goals are always evolving and we’re eager to see what each new litter brings!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include toy, miniature, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, black, blue, brown, cafe au lait, cream, red, gray, silver, silver-beige, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
