I'm Joan J., the breeder behind Mountain Laurel Shihtzu located in Monterey, TN. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! We work hard to breed the best dogs possible using good bloodlines and health-tested dogs. We follow all appropriate steps to raising well-socialized puppies.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include tricolor, sable, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and tan, liver, blue, red, and black gold and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Joan

Joan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Joan partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Joan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
