I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Mountain Top Dachshunds located in Stilwell, OK. Having Dachshunds in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same love to other homes! We treasure each puppy in our program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. We work hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new family!

Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with our first 2 red miniature Dachshunds and started researching the breed. After years of research, we began to genetically test and breed to improve and provide quality dachshunds for others.What makes your program special?
We spend a lot of time socializing and ensuring our puppies have a great start and foundation before they are placed in their new homes. This includes coming from parents that have been genetically tested for disease and genetic disorders.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

“The Price includes AKC paperwork (limited or full), vet examinations, 2 sets of shots, age appropriate dewormings, and puppy gift bags. $200 Non Refundable deposit to hold, which will come off the price of the puppy.”

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Profile, Cone-Rod Dystrophy (crd4), Optimal Selection Canine Genetic Breeding Analysis
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Lisa has been so wonderful the whole process! She sent us weekly updates of our little Hazel so we could watch her grow up to the day came for us to get her. I drove from North Texas to get our new puppy and Lisa was so accommodating that she and her husband drove an hour towards me to cut back on a little bit of the distance. I really appreciated that. Our new puppy, Greta is such a good dog. She's wild and crazy just like a four month old puppy should be, but she is so much fun and provides so much enjoyment to us. The best part is that she loves us and she knows we are her forever family. She is 1 happy, happy dog.
